When we install an iOS configuration profile for Cisco IPSec "VPN on Demand" (using certificate based machine authentication), a switch appears in the Settings > VPN Settings page: "Connect On Demand ON/OFF". We don't want to give our employees the option to turn off VPN on Demand.

I'm now interested in On-demand VPN feature on iOS 7 and I was successful on making VPN connection automatically turn on when accessing to a targeted domain by setting the "OnDemandRules" key in the On-demand VPN payload. I then tried to modify the payload to tear down the VPN connection when Safari access to another domain but it does not work. That's not the problem. Previously this was the top of the line VPN in my opinion don't know what happened. No doubt time to get a new VPN. The software has been updated!! Works very well now thank you for listening and responding to software issues. The mac and ios software are faster more servers it seems and the other issues have been resolved. Without "Connect on demand", macOS is capable of resuming the existing VPN session upon reconnecting to the internet. The VPN is using IKEv2 with certificate authentication. As an example of the difference, I run `tail -f /var/log/ipsec.log` on the server to view logs incoming as I toggle wifi off and back on.
