The Cloakwood Forest, otherwise known as The Cloakwood or simply Cloak Wood, is a relatively small forest due south of the city Baldur's Gate, or directly north-east of the citadel Candlekeep. The First Cloakwood, also known as Cloakwood Lodge, is an area in Baldur's Gate. This area is distant enough from the Iron Throne presence deep within the forest that it is protected by the relatively pacifist druid faction led by Archdruid Seniyad, rather than the more intolerant Shadow Druids found further within. In 1376 DR, Cloak Wood was the base of operations of the Red Fang Marauders. It also housed their main base, Felldane Manor. Due to its sheer size, it was also the home to Zarad's Clocktower, the place where Ysuran Auondril learned his necromantic spells. It is also the place where Ysuran became a Shadow Adept after killing Zarad Duskmarrow.
